Did God create us, or did we create God

Hello Guys, Welcome Back to Jay's Blogs
I hope you all are good and healthy.
So, yesterday my 4th semester external exam got over.
Last time I talked about God's existence, and at the end I said we’ll talk about it later.
So now, I finally have time for this...

It’s all my view.

Before we jump into the God topic, let’s first talk about “Faith”.
What is faith (aastha)?
Meaning: a strong belief (in somebody/something) or a strong religious belief.

The thing is, when we start believing in someone blindly, we stop using our brain—and that’s totally wrong.
Even worse, we stop questioning.
And when we stop questioning, we stop using our human brain, which is the most powerful thing we have.

Because of our brains, we’ve done things once thought impossible:
Heavier-than-air flight, computers, space travel, vaccination, anesthesia, the internet, brain-computer interfaces, and even mapping the brain at the cellular level.

How did we do that?
Because we questioned.
We argued, "Why can’t we do this?"
And then we did it.

If back then we had only thought “Leave it, God will handle it,” we wouldn’t have achieved any of this.
That’s why we’re now able to cure diseases.
Earlier, people died of even small illnesses—but not anymore.

One more important thing about science:
Even when scientists find something, they say,
"According to our current research, this is the best solution."
That means they’re already open to the idea that they might be wrong in the future if something better is discovered.
This is the mindset we need—we must accept that we could be wrong, even about our beliefs.

But when it comes to God, it’s the opposite.
People don’t want to question.
They can’t even imagine that it could be wrong.
And if someone does question it, they get hate, death threats, or are told to shut up.
That just shows how insecure people are about their beliefs.
It proves they also know, deep inside, that their belief might be wrong.

And what I personally think is—humans created Gods according to their needs:

  • Money problems? Pray to the money god.

  • Health issues? Pray to the health god.

  • Want success? Pray to another god.

This raised a question in my mind:
“Did God create us, or did we create God based on our needs?”

When people face starvation, death, incurable illness, disasters, war, poverty, depression, or injustice—they feel helpless.
So they turn to God or faith for hope and meaning.
Because they know they can’t do anything at that time.
So they start believing—and stop questioning.
At least that gives them hope, or an easy way to accept death.

But the main fear is—"If there is no God, then what?"
People can’t face this thought.

That’s where our common sense comes in.
We know what is right and what is wrong.
Why am I thinking so much?
Because we can think. And more than that—we need to think.

Why is this important?
Because people kill each other over religion.
There’s religious discrimination, caste discrimination, and so much more.

Everyone in this world deserves equal respect.
Everyone deserves equality.

And one more thing—I don’t believe in Karma.
Why?
Just answer this one question:
If a child is born in a war zone like Ukraine or Palestine and dies from a bomb or gunfire—
What wrong did that child do to deserve it?
Why did that happen to them?
Any answers?

Where is Karma in that?

If you say, “The person who caused it will suffer later,” then what’s the point?
Karma or any kind of power should protect before harm happens—to that child, that person, or even any animal.

Till now, I haven’t even touched topics like women being abused, caste-based violence, child exploitation, animals being tortured, and so on...

I have many more things to say.
But for now, this is enough.

Thanks for reading.
If you’ve made it this far, I truly appreciate your time and open mind.

Remember—if you believe in something, don’t expect everyone else to believe it too. And if someone doesn’t believe what you do, that doesn’t make them wrong.
I don’t want anyone to stop believing—I just want us all to start thinking.

Let’s focus on being human first.
Keep your humanity alive, stay kind, stay logical, and always question with compassion.

See you in the next blog. ðŸ’✍️
